Our family practice offers a variety of aesthetic and restorative dental services to improve your appearance, confidence, comfort, and general health.
Bleaching
Bleaching is a treatment that whitens teeth. We currently use the at-home bleaching treatment under Dr. Lum's supervision which allows the patient to control the amount of lightening without spending any time at the dental office. Patients place a bleaching agent in their custom fitted teeth trays and wear the trays daily or nightly for 2-3 weeks.
Bonding
Bonding uses the latest materials to restore teeth that are sensitive, discolored, chipped, cracked, or misaligned. This technique restores teeth back to their natural and ideal appearance.
Bridges
Bridges are fixed artificial teeth that replace lost or missing teeth. The teeth adjacent to the area of missing teeth hold and support the bridge.

Cleaning
Cleaning is a treatment performed to remove plaque, tartar, and stains from teeth and finishes with a polish.
Crowns
Crowns are made from a variety of materials that strengthen and protect your natural tooth structure. There are 3 types of crowns: full porcelain crowns, porcelain fused-to-gold, and all gold crowns. Dr. Lum will discuss and help you decide which type of crown is best for you. Crowns are recommended for teeth that have had severe damage from decay, a filled tooth that can no longer support the filling, or after a root canal where the tooth becomes weak and brittle.
Dentures (Full and Partial)
Dentures are artificial and removable replacements for missing teeth. Tooth replacement is very important to improve chewing, speech and provide support for facial muscles.

Extraction
Extraction is the process of removing teeth. Teeth are removed only if they can not be saved due to pain, swelling, infection, cavities, or gum disease.
Filling
Fillings are performed on teeth that have cavities. After the cavity has been removed, a filling is placed to restore the tooth back to its natural or ideal appearance. Fillings are made up of amalgams (silver), composites (white), porcelain (white) or gold.
Gum Disease
Gum disease, also known as periodontal disease, is caused by plaque (bacteria and food debris). Overtime, if plaque is not removed, it will mineralize and harden up to form tartar. This will cause the gums to be red and swollen and bleed easily. Eventually the gums may
recede from the teeth and develop deep gum pockets. The end result if gum disease is not controlled, is tooth loss. A thorough exam will determine the health and condition of your gums and teeth.

Implant
Implants are a specialized technique to replace missing teeth. a titanium post is surgically placed into the bone and an artificial tooth is connected to the post.
Root Canal
Root canal treatment is performed when a tooth's pulp (nerve and blood supply) become infected or inflamed. The tooth is opened and the pulp and bacteria are removed, leaving an empty pulp chamber and canal. The chamber and canal are filled with a sealant and filling material. The tooth may require additional protection and re-enforcement with a crown.
Veneer
Veneers are a cosmetic procedure to restore teeth from discoloration, misalignment, chips, gaps, and large fillings. Veneers can brighten and enhance your smile beautifully.
